Dr. Chen’s research interest is to promote the use of high resolution crustal deformation measurements derived from Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) in earth observation applications including but not limited to the analysis of the atmosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, and hydrosphere, as well as their mutual interactions. Her recent work demonstrates the use of InSAR for basin-wide characterization of groundwater levels and aquifer storage properties in agricultural regions.
