Why did you decide to pursue an aerospace engineering degree?

Long interest in airplanes.

Do you recommend any particular focus for students other than academics to improve themselves as potential candidates for jobs? If so, please explain.

Learn to work with other engineers. You will learn that there are different levels of intelligence of graduate engineers that you will have to work with.

Who was your most influential ASE or EM course and why?

Materials & testing. Most widely used subject.

What is one piece of advice you have for undergraduate students?

Follow the money. Don't get stuck in one place. Keep abreast of the industry to learn the latest  accomplishments..

Do you have a favorite memory as a UT aerospace student?

At the annual engineering show I designed a water flow tunnel to demonstrate laminar flow over an aircraft wing.

List three things that most people don't know about you.

  • When I start on a project I rush too fast to finish it.
  • I like a good argument.
  • I like to swap stories with friends.
